Pursuant to Section 25 of Republic Act No. 11058 entitled "An Act Strengthening Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Providing Penalties for Violations Thereof" and Department Order No 198, Series of 2018 (DO 198-18) or its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

Standard first aid and basic life support training is a four-day (32-hour) training course designed for participants of medium and high-risk establishments with ten (10) to fifty (50) workers and low, medium, and high-risk establishments with fifty-one (51) and above workers. Participants will be able to respond to specific medical emergency situations before medical professionals can intervene delivered in a traditional in-person classroom setting which combines lecture and hands-on skills sessions. This course also covers administering cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) manually and using an automated external defibrillator (AED).
