QUEZON CITY — QESH Training Center & Consultancy OPC conducted a Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH SO1) Face-to-Face training for Quezon City University students on April 11, 2026, held at the QESH Training Center in Quezon City, with a total of 35 student participants.
The Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training for Safety Officer 1 (SO1) provided students with foundational knowledge on occupational safety and health principles, including hazard identification, accident prevention practices, and understanding the responsibilities of employers and workers under Occupational Safety and Health Standards. The training serves as an important step in preparing students for future roles where workplace safety awareness is essential.
The session was facilitated by Reginald Basco, a DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Consultant, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, and Registered Civil Engineer with over 19 years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health. His industry-based insights helped students better understand how OSH concepts are applied in real workplace settings across various industries.
Providing OSH training opportunities for students helps bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. By equipping students with practical safety knowledge at an early stage, future professionals become more prepared to contribute to safer workplaces and support compliance with national safety regulations once they enter the workforce.
