QESH Training Center & Consultancy OPC conducted two batches of Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training for Safety Officer 1 (BOSH SO1) for PLK Philippines, Inc. on August 12 and 19, 2026, through an online webinar setup.
Conducting the program in two batches enabled PLK Philippines, Inc. to extend essential Occupational Safety and Health knowledge to more members of its workforce while maintaining flexibility in its operations. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to developing safety-conscious personnel and strengthening its internal workplace safety practices.
The BOSH SO1 training provided participants with foundational knowledge on Occupational Safety and Health, including workplace hazard identification, risk awareness, accident prevention, and the roles and responsibilities of employers and workers in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. The sessions also emphasized the important role of Safety Officers in supporting workplace OSH programs and encouraging employees to take an active part in preventing incidents.
Both batches were facilitated by Erwin Balaoeg, who guided participants through practical discussions, workplace situations, and applications of Occupational Safety and Health principles. The sessions helped participants connect their training with actual workplace responsibilities and better understand how proactive safety practices contribute to employee protection and organizational performance.
